Personal health and safetyWe operate in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and the chemical industry’s Responsible Care requirements. We will set higher standards for ourselves and for our suppliers when unacceptable risks are identified. Our commitment
Occupational health and safety programme Our occupational health and safety programme consists of several measures taken to protect employees and contractors from both immediate on-the-job and long-term health risks.
Workers are prevented from exposure to health threatening substances and are provided with training and information about hearing and vision protection, office and industrial ergonomics and fatigue countermeasures. Our people’s health is regularly monitored by means of respiratory surveillance, medical check ups, fitness tests and health indicator reports.
To ensure the safety of our workers all working procedures are subjected to a risk assessment based on which countermeasures are developed. We have programmes regarding working at high levels, mobile equipment, contractor qualifications, confined space entry, hot and cold work permits, line breaking as well as behavioural safety observation and inspection programmes. We expect our employees to abide by our health and safety regulations and to make their own contribution to a safe working place for themselves and their colleagues. |
