Environmental protection

We operate our facilities in a manner that protects the environment and the health and safety of our employees and the public.

Our commitment

INEOS NOVA strives to preserve the environment and eliminate waste by reducing emissions and environmental discharges and by continuously improving manufacturing processes.

Management systems

To protect the environment, our sites rely on ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management Systems. These systems include targets to improve our environmental performance, follow up on improvement projects, reporting of environmental metrics and keeping our commitments.

Energy efficiency

Our energy efficiency programmes are designed to reduce energy consumption and as a direct or indirect consequence CO2 emissions. For some of our sites, the remaining CO2 emissions are subject to emission trading.

Process safety management

Since we utilize flammable and aquatoxic feedstock for our processes, we operate them with great care. Our facilities are subject to national Seveso II regulations and, depending on the tier, they have a safety management system in place and they have to submit a safety case. As contingency planning we have site and transport incident response systems ready, approved of by the local emergency responders. A number of key processes ensure that our facilities are operated safely.
