Save raw materials and energy with EPS

Expanded polystyrene contains 98 % air. The low density of expanded polystyrene allows packaging weight and transport costs to be reduced.
Closed cells of expanded polystyrene are filled with air, which affords good insulating characteristics to the material. Widely used in building insulation, 370 kg of EPS is required to fully insulate a 100 m2 house and enable the saving of 15000 litres of heating oil over 10 years. EPS is a stable and inert material which retains its original properties and insulation performance, which in turn permits long term energy savings.
